Excitations of rotational energy levels of ozone molecule O3 by collisions with atoms of the noble gases (Ar and He)
The scattering cross-sections on rotational energy levels of O3 by collisions with atoms of the noble gases (Ar and He) were calculated using the two-body scheme implemented in the MOLSCAT2020 package. All energy levels of O3 up to J max = K max = 5 and J max = K max = 7 were included that corresponds to 18 and 32 coupled channel equations. The dependences of the scattering cross-sections on the collision energy were analyzed and the most probable excited rotational states of O3 were determined. The rate coefficients at the temperatures of 5-300 K were calculated. The construction of the radial part of the angular coefficients of the interaction potential is also discussed.
