Effect of porosity and viscosity on filtration of biological fluid through a double-layer capillary wall
The paper presents a model of biological fluid flow in a capillary with two-layer porous walls. The influence of porosity and viscosity parameters was studied for two flow regimes: diffusion and convection. The viscosity of the biological fluid has a stronger effect with increasing porosity of the inner layer of the capillary. The velocity in the area of the interfaces increases when the layers of the capillary wall have different porosity, which is associated with an increase in the concentration gradient near the inteface.
