Effect of cyclic freezing on sorption of silver nanoparticles by polished collagen fibers
The effect of 10-fold cyclic freezing (with alternating temperatures of 0.0 ° C and -37.0 ° C) on the sorption activity of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on the surface of polished collagen fibers was studied. At the same time, we studied both the sorption of AgNPs contained in the preparation containing chitosan and the sorption activity of AgNPs stabilized with polyvinylpyrrolidone and obtained by the method of cavitation-diffusion photochemical reduction. A significant predominance of nanoparticles with a diameter of up to 30 nm was established during the processing of collagen fibers with a gel composition with AgNPs, which were obtained by the method of cavitation-diffusion photochemical reduction, while after incubation of polished catgut fibers in a commercial preparation containing chitosan and AgNPs, followed by temperature exposure (cyclic freezing ), agglomerations of silver-containing nanostructures on the surface of catgut were revealed, which is probably due to the interaction of nanoparticles with the protein matrix of this suture material.
