Peculiarities of viscosity and density polytherms of Al86(Ni,Co)8Tb6 glass-forming melts with different Ni/Co ratios
Kinematic viscosity and density temperature dependences of Al86Ni6Co2Tb6 and Al86Ni4Co4Tb6 melts have been investigated in the present work. The hysteresis (discrepancy of polytherms on heating and subsequent cooling) of properties in the melts is found. It is shown that overheating the melts higher than characteristic temperatures facilitate the transition to a more homogeneous state. The activation energy of viscous-flow are calculated. It has been established that increase of cobalt content in investigated alloys leads to increase in viscosity values and activation energy and decrease in density at the same time.
