Comparative analysis of the effect of benign and malignant neoplasms on the thermal state of tissue based on the one-dimensional Pennes model

This article provides a comparative analysis of the effects of benign and malignant tumors on the thermal state of biological tissue using the Pennes biothermal equation. The mammary gland was chosen as a model of a multi-layered biological system. The results of the study clearly show that malignant tumors significantly change the surface and internal temperatures of the tissue compared to their benign counterparts.
