Novel two-dimensional graphene-like materials and heterostructures
Advances in the synthesis of two-dimensional graphene-like materials (transgraphenes) stimulate the interest of scientists in searching for new elements of the periodic table that have two-dimensional allotropic modifications. This has led in recent years to the successful production of new single-element 2D materials, such as beryllene (Be), indiene (In), molybdenene (Mo) and goldene (Au). In addition, methods for creating various derivatives of transgraphenes - their compounds with other elements - are actively developing. Moreover, more and more works have recently appeared on the creation of heterostructures based on two-dimensional materials. This review is devoted to novel two-dimensional allotropic modifications of single elements, methods for creating 2D heterostructures, as well as their device application.
