Phase composition, structure, and magnetic properties of nickel ferrites produced by sol-gel combustion
In this work, NiFe2O4 ferrite powders were synthesized by the sol-gel combustion. The samples were obtained under different ferritization conditions and with different ratios of the amount of salt solution to the citric acid solution. The phase composition, crystal structure, and magnetic properties of the ferrite powders were analyzed. It was found that the crystallite size depends on the ratio of the amount of salt solution to the citric acid solution. It was found that additional ferritization at a temperature of 800 °C for 2 hours leads to an increase in the content of the target phase of the synthesized ferrites and an increase in the crystallite size. The values of the specific saturation magnetization, coercive force, fields of magnetic anisotropy, and Curie temperature were determined.
