Experimental and theoretical study of the process of high-speed interaction of a steel striker with a two-layer metal-ceramic material
The article presents the results of experimental and theoretical studies of high-speed interaction of a steel cylindrical striker with a conical head part and a gradient-layered metal-ceramic material (TiB2+Ti x Co y )+Ti. The method of mathematical modeling was used to calculate the high-speed interaction of this metal-ceramic plate with the striker within the framework of the elastic-ideal-plastic Prandtl-Reuss model. The braking of the striker during high-speed interaction is assessed. It is shown that this gradient-layered metal-ceramic material is capable of effectively dissipating the kinetic energy of the impact.
