Thermophysical problems of heat removal from local high-power sources
With regard to the development of cooling systems for heat-stressed equipment, physical mechanisms of heat exchange and the crisis of water boiling in a microchannel and microjet system of heat removal from local high-power sources have been experimentally established. A method has been developed for calculating heat exchange during the boiling of subcooled liquid, taking into account the combined contribution of forced convection and nucleate boiling. The established patterns of heat exchange on small scales make it possible to develop methods for controlling heat exchange processes during boiling and forced convection in two-phase systems of heat removal from local high-power sources.
