Dear Colleagues!

December 10, 2014 at the Department of general literary, studies, publishing and editing of philological faculty of National Research Tomsk State University, the scientific-practical seminar "Reader's practice: a space of dialogue author, publisher and reader" will be held.

Seminar will be devoted theoretical and practical issues of interpretation of the text, the problems of Book Culture in the modern world and the leading publication strategy in preparing of printed and electronic publications.

You are invited to discuss the following issues:

 

 

  • theoretical and applied aspects of the perception of the text by professional (editor, literary critic, specialist in a specific scientific application area, etc.) and the lay reader;
  •  problems of reading paper and electronic books;
  •  impact of changes in reproduction technology of text and emergence of new channels and techniques in dissemination of texts on readers' behavior;
  • development of reading culture in the family, school and university;
  • specificity of regional reader behavior, publishing and book distribution (the relationship of supply and demand);
  • legislative regulation of reading methods (censorship, legislation and so on. In the field of book publishing);
  •  typology of ways of reading and the reader: history and modernity;
  •  readers' practices of certain social groups;
  •  socio-cultural transformation in the area of reading;
  •   the role of libraries (public and private) in the development of readers' competences;
  •  the activities of NGOs in the field of development of the reader's behavior.
