The happy destiny of a little-known author of the 18th century and his book in science, or how the novel Neschastnyy Nikanor (St. Petersburg, 1787-1789) regained popularity

The article contains commentaries on the edition "Literature Wors" of a pulp novel of the last quarter of the 18th century, Neschastnyy Nikanor, ili Priklyuchenie zhizni ros-siyskogo dvoryanina n******** [Unlucky Nikanor, or Life adventures of a Russian nobleman N********](St. Peterburg: Nauka, 2016). Studying the book gives the opportunity to understand and realise some important questions about the genre history, publishing business, its authors, publishers and book sellers.
