Culture of reading in an information society
The article considers the role of the culture of text perception in an information society in the context of the formation of the reader's personality. The tradition of the reading culture formation is presented through the views of the scholars K.D. Ushinsky, Ya.A. Komensky, M.M. Bakhtin. The continuity of tradition in the studies of educational communicative situations and the evolutionist theory of V.I. Tyupa is noted. To update the classical forms of work with the text, dialogues were recognized as a reference point: the reader - the text - the author, the reader - the text - the teacher. The basic concepts in development of reader's perception were identified: genre thinking, emotional reflection, conceptual thinking, text as a source of artistic impression, development of abstract and logical thinking, learning existential meanings, esthetic identification, correlation of one's own ethical standard with the norm of the author's consciousness. The final stage is the correlation of one's own ethical standard with the author's norm, which assumes comparison of personal ethical views through literary analysis. On the one hand, the conceptual language of the reflecting reader changes while they immerse in this or that school changes. On the other hand, the skill of comparison, comparison of outlooks necessary for work with any humanitarian literature, is formed. At school, the culture of perception is investigated through the criteria of literary terms application in the final composition, through the correlation of the author's and reader's positions. Dialogues as the basis of communication are considered as a classical relevant technique since researchers note a decline in the quality of reading by modern readers. Due to this fact, guidelines of the National Program and the Code of Ethics of the Russian Librarian are cited. The article gives a short overview of practical methods of work in the field of culture of reading, results of questioning are given and prospects are outlined.
