Russian Journal of Media Studies was established in 2017 with the aim of:

– publishing the papers and reviews on the topical issues of media studies, journalism and related communication spheres;
– promoting the free discussion and exchange of experience between specialists in Russia and abroad;
– forging links among university science and media practices.

Russian Journal of Media Studies is issued two times per year.

The full-text version of the issues is available under Issues.

The open access policy of the Journal aims at increasing the visibility and accessibility of the published content.

The Journal uses double-blind peer review.

The Journal does not charge paper submission, processing or publication fee from the authors or authors' institution.

The Journal is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications which aims to publish the basic scientific results of dissertations for the degree of Candidate of Sciences, for the degree of Doctor of Science of the Higher Attestation Commission (HAC).
